The speakers will examine how deficient or poorly drafted estate planning provisions have led to costly disputes, unintended consequences, significant legal and financial challenges, and uncertainty in the drafting landscape.
About our Speakers
Adam L. Streltzer
Adam L. Streltzer is a probate, trust, and fiduciary litigator with over 30 years of experience in handling disputes throughout the State of California concerning the rights, duties, money, and property of the deceased, incompetent, spendthrift, and bankrupt, with a special emphasis in probate, trust, and conservatorship litigation within the California probate court system. He regularly practices in the Probate Division and Civil Division of Los Angeles County Superior Court (LASC). Mr. Streltzer is an active participant in good standing with the LASC Probate Division’s Court-Appointed Counsel (CAC) Program and regularly accepts court appointments as attorney (CAC) and as Guardian ad litem (GAL). He also volunteers as a Temporary Judge in the LASC Traffic Division. Mr. Streltzer received his B.A. in Applied Geography from San Diego State University and his J.D. from the University of the Pacific, McGeorge School of Law. He is a member in good standing of the Los Angeles County Bar Association (LACBA), the Beverly Hills Bar Association (BHBA), the Estate Counselors Forum (ECF), and the Commercial Law League of America (CLLA). In addition, Mr. Streltzer is an author for the Continuing Education of the Bar (CEB) for several publications, including California Decedent’s Estate Practice and California Conservatorship Practice.
Willow A. Mc Jilton
Willow A. Mc Jilton is a Certified Legal Specialist in Estate Planning, Trust & Probate Law, certified by the California Board of Legal Specialization, California State Bar.
Willow was born and raised in southern California. She graduated from UC Irvine in 1998 with a B.A. in Criminology, Law & Society, and a B.A. in Psychology and Social Behavior. After working in the non-profit sector for two years, Willow moved to Los Angeles to attend UCLA School of Law. After graduating from UCLA in 2003, Willow worked exclusively in the fields of estate planning and trust administration with two prestigious large estate planning firms in Century City. Willow began her own estate planning firm in 2010. Willow is an Adjunct Professor at Loyola Law School (teaching Trusts & Wills to the next generation of attorneys), and previously served as an Adjunct Professor at California State University, Northridge, in the College of Business and Economics, and an instructor with UCLA Extension, where she taught courses in estate planning, estate tax and gift tax.
Willow has served as an Executive Committee Member and Chair of the Trusts & Estates Section of the Beverly Hills Bar Association and the Estate Counselors Forum.
Willow was featured as a ‘Rising Star’ 2009 through 2012 and a ‘Super Lawyer’ 2015 through 2026 by Southern California’s Super Lawyers magazine.
Willow is proud member of the Trusts & Estates Sci Fi and Fantasy Book Club (yes, there is such a group) and is passionate about food.
