DESCRIPTION:\nRSVPs for this event are closed.  Please call Marlowe at 310-375-6300 to see if there are any cancellations.\n \nUnlock the complexities of Qualified Personal Residence Trusts (QPRTs) by diving deep into their historical and legal foundations. This presentation will take you on a journey from the basic principles of property law, epitomized by the "bundle of sticks" concept, through pivotal legal developments like the landmark Supreme Court case Robinette v. Helvering (1943). You'll explore how the common law GRIT paved the way for Congressional intervention with Code Section 2702, leading to the modern-day QPRT. This presentation will provide you with a comprehensive understanding of what QPRTs are and why they can be an effective estate planning strategy for giving away a personal residence or vacation home.\n  \n \nAbout our Speaker\n \nDavid P.
